Undergraduate studies
European Economic Policy
This course aims to help students understand how economic policy is designed and implemented within the European Union (EU), combining theoretical foundations with analysis of real policy challenges.
A key aspect of this understanding includes studying major EU strategies such as the European Green Deal. This is important because the course looks at how economic policy in the EU is increasingly shaped by sustainability goals, including climate neutrality, green growth, and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Política Económica Europea
This course aims to encourage students to reflect on the challenges and opportunities for economic policy in the context of the EU from an international perspective.
It seeks to deepen their understanding of economic theory and the range of tools available for implementing economic policy, including competition policy, privatisation, and other policy instruments. It also aims to develop students’ ability to understand and assess the economic consequences of policy decisions, including those related to major EU initiatives such as the European Green Deal, which are shaping the EU’s transition toward a more sustainable economy.
Integración Económica Europea
This course aims to analyse the evolution and role of the EU, with a focus on its integration processes and the challenges they present.
Postgraduate studies
European Economic Policy
After completing the course, students will have a solid grounding in the “who, why, and how” of economic policy in the EU. They will be able to identify the main actors and interests shaping economic policy, understand how these have evolved over time, assess the consequences of EU economic policy, and evaluate its success using different approaches.
Integración Económica Europea
This course provides students with the analytical tools and available empirical evidence regarding the process of economic integration in Europe. It aims to train professionals capable of carrying out management, advisory, and evaluation tasks related to economic issues of an international, national, or regional nature, or within specific sectors. In particular, students will acquire skills and abilities to analyze topics such as monetary policy, industrial regulation processes, the Common Agricultural Policy and The European Green Deal among other policies.
